Pribilofs

The Pribilofs are islands in the center of the Bering Sea that are famous for their rich diversity of wildlife, particularly fur seals and sea birds.  These islands are three hundred miles from the nearest mainland.  Nearly 75% of the World's population of northern fur seals return to St Paul Island each year to breed and give birth. Later in the summer, nearly 800,000 fur seals virtually cover the rocks along the shore.  Over two hundred species of birds inhabit these islands, and it is a great place to see puffins, relatively close-up.
