Bering Sea

The Bering Sea is the notoriously rough sea between Alaska and Siberia.  It is famous for being the location of the most dangerous job in America (Bering Sea Fisherman). It is one of the more remote areas of the world today, and part of its charm is that it is seldom visited by outsiders, unlike the Inside Passage which sees hundreds of thousands of tourists each summer.  The culture and lifestyle here is much different from the rest of the United States.  The landscape is nearly devoid of trees.  Even in late May, the ocean still has large patches of ice in it.  I am also including a section on Siberia, though it is not in Alaska it is very much a part of the culture of the Bering Sea.
