Hoonah, Salmon Cannery
Like most Southeast Alaskan Communities, Hoonah had a salmon cannery. This one has long since closed down, but I hear rumors that it may be remodeled for use by a cruise ship company. Hoonah is a Tlingit community. The town itself is somewhat run down, at least when I was there, and most of the land around it has been clear cut.
