This covered passageway connects the Alaska Marine Highway Ferries dock with the ticket office ashore, protecting passengers from inclement weather as they head ashore. The Marine Highway provides ferry service connecting most of the Coastal Alaskan towns throughout the year. Most towns, including Petersburg, cannot be reached by car.
