Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center
The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is home to many injured and orphaned animals that would not have been able to survive on their own. Although the animals are captive, they are kept in a much more natural environment than most zoos, and they have considerably more space available. It also allows people to be able to see many of these animals much more closely than they ever could in the wild. Although the center is located at the southern tip of Turnagain Arm, I have included it in the Interior section of the website for space reasons.
