Caribou
Dalton Highway
This skinny guy was all alone and barely visible alongside a small pond way off in the distance. After he noticed the car, he started walking and then running up to the road to see us, and got quite close. I fear he may have been looking for food, but after a short stare, he wandered off under the pipeline. Further up the road, beyond where I was able to get to, there was reportedly a herd of about 200-300 caribou right near the highway.
