Elliot Highway White Mountains
White Mountains, Elliott Highway
The first half of the highway is paved as it leads from Fairbanks to the junction with the Dalton Highway. It passes through the White Mountains National Recreation Area. Being from New Hampshire, I found it interesting to see this name here, as we have the White Mountain National Forest back home. These actually look surprisingly a lot like the White Mountains in New Hampshire and perhaps that's how they got their name.
