North Pole Santa

North Pole, AK
Yes, North Pole is actually a town in Alaska, just a few miles southeast of Fairbanks. It celebrates Christmas year-round. The town was started by a man named Con Miller, who liked wearing Santa Claus suits on his business trips to the interior and native villages. The new town was called North Pole in an attempt to attract toy manufacturers to the area, but that plan never worked out. Today it is a popular tour bus stop for the huge gift shop and is a popular letter writing center for answering letters sent to Santa.
