Susan Butcher Sled Dog Team

One of the stops the Riverboat Discovery makes is to Susan Butcher's sled dog kennels along the Chena River, where a demonstration of the dogs skills and enthusiasm is given. Susan Butcher was the most successful female musher for the Iditarod races, but unfortunately she passed away from Leukemia shortly after this visit.
