Bear in Brooks Camp
Katmai National Park, Brooks Camp
Brooks Camp is a small community of cottages where people can stay when coming here to see the bears, or to venture out to other areas such as the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes, a desolate volcanic area. I was only there for an afternoon, but there were more bears around the cabins and nearby lake than at the falls.
