Swimming Brown Bear
Katmai National Park, Brooks Falls
This bear prepares herself below the falls for a small feast of salmon. The salmon run has just finished though, so she will be somewhat disappointed. During the run, most of the bears at the falls are males, but as the salmon run dwindles, the males leave, and the females and cubs try to find the leftover late salmon.
