Alaska Pipeline
Richardson Highway
Much of the southern portion of the Alaska Pipeline parallels the Richardson Highway. Parts of it are buried beneath the ground, while other portions are elevated and stacked in such as way as to allow movement in the event of an earthquake and freeze-thaw cycles.
