Chatanika Gold Dredge
Gold Dredge, Chatanika, Steese Highway
One of several abandoned gold dredges in the interior of Alaska. These dredges take in ground from big baskets on one side, process it inside the dredge and deposit it through the back side, usually creating gravel ridges in its wake.
