Portage Glacier
Portage Glacier lays claim to being the most popular tourist attraction in all of Alaska. There is a visitors center which was built in 1984 right in front of the glacier. The glacier has retreated so far since then that it cannot even be seen from the visitors center. But it can be visited on a short, one-hour cruise.
