Pitcher Plants
Mt. Kinabalu, Pitcher Plants
These carnivorous plants fill up with rain water and wait for prey to enter and then they close on and digest the victims, much like a Venus fly trap. What I find most fascinating is how they hang from a vine and are supported at the base by the vine, despite their weight filled with fluid. It seems to defy the laws of physics.
