One of the constant things in India is the sound of many motorists blowing their horns. It is so constant, it does not draw any attention to it anymore. While many tourists find the sound rather annoying, most trucks put a request on the back of the truck asking the other vehicles to blow their horns. It appears there is some sort of a law that you have to use your horn. It would make sense if it is required to honk the horn whenever passing, but people here just honk constantly.
