Dhobi Wallahs
Orchha, Dhobi-Wallah
The Dhobi-Wallahs are the people who do laundry in India. The clothes are soaked in soapy river water for quite a while, then they are severely beaten against rocks, then dried on these rocks in the sun, and finally pressed. They do a huge amount of laundry every day, but amazingly, rarely ever lose any.
