Alberobello, Trulli Houses
Trulli houses are usually round shaped homes that are made of stacked stones, with no mortar. The history and reason for this type of structure is really not known, but it is thought that they were built so they could be easily taken down or moved in time of war, or perhaps to avoid taxes on 'finished' homes.
