Columbus House
Genoa, Porta Soprana and Columbus House
Christopher Columbus said in his will that he was born in Genoa. That is a claim which has had intense debate, but Genova is proud to claim him. They have even provided a house they say was his. Nearby is one of the town gates from the inner town wall.
