Monreale and Palermo

Palermo is the capital and by far the largest city in Sicily.  It is very congested and driving is a nightmare.  I did not spend a lot of time in Palermo but made a point of checking out the Capuchin Catacombs, perhaps Sicily's most unusual sight.  Nearby Monreale is famous for its cathedral with the most extensive mosaics in the Christian World.
