Hiroshima Prefectural Museum of History

A prefecture in Japan is a governmental unit, similar to a state in the U.S. This museum is about the archeological history of the Hiroshima Prefecture. Most of the museum is a reconstruction of the village of Kusado Sengen which was destroyed by flooding about 600 years ago. Artifacts have been recovered the way were left in a sandbar in the river and rebuilt in the museum to look as it did then. This section depicts the wharf.
