Korean Victims Memorial, Hiroshima, Japan
An often forgotten, but particularly deserving memorial is that to the Korean victims of the bomb. There were many Koreans who had been enslaved by the Japanese and who were killed or injured by the bomb. Interestingly, those who were injured and those who later developed radiation linked diseases were not provided with medical care the way Japanese citizens were. Note the paper cranes that further decorate the monument as discussed earlier.
