The Japanese love to rank things, and this garden is 'ranked' in the top three. Some of the criteria for these rankings of gardens include: having lots of water, artificiality, spaciousness, antiquity, borrowed scenery, and seclusion. I liked all of the gardens I saw, though I would have probably ranked them differently.
