Meknes, Gate
Meknes is the other great imperial Moroccan city. It was chosen by the sultan in the 17th century to be capital and he tried to build a city to rival Paris. It was said to be a very impressive city, but much of it fell to ruins after his death and as a result of major earthquakes.
