Northland

The area north of Auckland tends to have a subtropical climate, famous for beautiful beaches and huge trees.  Most of it occupies a peninsula that extends for about 150 miles north of Auckland.  This page will center on most of the Northland, but some special areas such as the Bay of Islands and the Top of New Zealand have their own separate pages on this website.
