Castle Hill
Castle Hill National Historic Site
Castle Hill contains the remains of Fort Royal, originally built by the French in 1662 and then rebuilt later by the British in 1713 after acquiring it through the treaty of Utrecht. It overlooks, and protected, the town of Placentia in the distance.
