Burin Peninsula
The Burin Peninsula is a 200 km long peninsula in the southern part of the island, one of the few areas of the south that is reachable by road. The Burin is a dramatic landscape with lots of rocks and few trees, somewhat reminiscent of the Burren region of Ireland, which I suspect it was named after.
