Portsmouth, Strawbery Banke
Portsmouth has many old colonial buildings. At one time, these were at risk of being torn down, and preservationists were able to move many of the buildings to the old part of town and create a park with a recreated colonial community and costumed actors showing what life was like in Portsmouth's early years. This is on the site where Portsmouth was first settled in 1623.
