San Blas Islands
The San Blas Islands are an archipelago just off the Caribbean coast of Panama. Though considered a part of Panama, the natives of these islands govern themselves autonomously, separate from Panama. These islands seem to barely skim sea level, and on some of them, the buildings seem to leave no land exposed. Most of the islands are left natural, or grow palms and other necessities. A few can be visited by tourists, where the native people dress up and sell Molas and other crafts, as well as charge a hefty fee to pose for photographs.
