St Petersburg
St. Petersburg is a beautiful city with a long and storied history. It is much more European than Moscow and other Russian cities. Being so far north, the days are extremely long in the summer and short in the winter. When I was there, the city seemed to be a monument to Lenin and the Russian revolution, but these days most of that is gone.
