New Mexico Lightning

Farmington, New Mexico, Lightning

It was a very hot and dry summer, working on the Navajo Reservation in Shiprock. I was staying in the town of Farmington, which is off the reservation.  One night we had a brilliant thunderstorm, with lightning in nearly all directions.  Something odd though, was I never heard any thunder.  Some of these thunderstorms were responsible for the bad fires in nearby Mesa Verde National Park, and the mountains near Taos.
