Zodiacs prepare snorkelers by the reef.. Unfortunately, the seas were too rough for us to get over the reef and get to the actual village itself. The atoll is only 11km across, consisting of 35 small islets and is home to about 57 people, all of whom are descended from the same man, William Marsters, and his three wives.
