Vanuatu
Ambrym is the island in Vanuatu that we visited, and it is famous for its volcanoes and traditional culture. It is not commonly visited by tourists. The volcanoes are the most active in the country with very frequent small and occasional large eruptions. Traditional magic is a powerful belief here and the sorcerers are renowned for their magic abilities and felt to have influence over eruptions.
