Canterbury Cathedral
The Canterbury Cathedral is considered to be the mother church of the Church of England. It was begun very soon after the arrival of William the Conqueror. It soon became a pilgrimage site after the murder of Thomas Beckett within the cathedral. The town is also famous for the Canterbury Tales.
