Great Salt Lake
The Great Salt Lake
People in Salt Lake City embrace the mountains to the east, but seem to virtually ignore the great lake to the west. There have been small resorts over the years, but the lake level significantly changes depending on annual rainfall, and it tends to smell at times. Still, I am surprised how little interest locals seem to have in the lake. The Great Salt Lake is the second saltiest salt water body, with only the Dead Sea being saltier.
