Lake Powell National Recreation Area
Lake Powell was created by the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam just over the border in Arizona, and filled in the impressive Glen Canyon. Few people had ever seen the inside of that canyon before it was filled in, and no one truly knows the extent of the treasures that are buried under the water now. But the lake has provided a very popular recreation area, and a lot of power is created from the dam.
