Jefferson Memorial

Thomas Jefferson was the third president of the United States, and probably the most intelligent.  He was a master of many skills, wrote most of the Declaration of Independence, founded the University of Virginia, was a scientist, mathematician, archeologist, and architect. The memorial itself  is built in a neoclassical style similar to his home at Monticello and the architecture of the University of Virginia.
