Roosevelt Island, Theodore Roosevelt Statue
This island in the Potomac River is left in a mostly natural state except for this commemorative plaza and some running and biking trails. It is an appropriate tribute for our greatest conservationist president, responsible for many of our National Parks, as well as the Panama Canal.
