World War II Memorial
The newest of all of Washington's memorials and monuments is the World War II monument. It is located at the site of the old fountain located on the mall between the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial reflecting pool. It is divided into Atlantic and Pacific theaters. I was there prior to the dedication, so the fountain was not yet working.
